FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everyone has questions....
Here, we will answer some of the most frequently asked questions we have received

How long does it take to install IGLA?
Installation time depends on the make and model of your vehicle and the model of IGLA device you choose to have installed. Generally we would need the vehicle from 2 upto to 5 hours depending on what system you choose.
Can anyone install IGLA?
The answer to this one is "NO"!
Unlike other brands of immobilisers available in Australia where anyone can purchase and install them, IGLA Australia have a very carefully chosen team of installers.
Each installer is trained to use only the IGLA Australia approved installation methods, therefore ensuring every single IGLA installation is done to the highest standards.
Ok I need a bit more clarification on the differences between all the different models.
The IGLA 200 is the entry level digital canbus immobiliser, and the feature set can be seen on the [IGLA 200 Product page].
The IGLA 231 has all the same features as the 200, but also comes with 2x bluetooth keyfobs.
The IGLA alarm has all the same features as the IGLA 231, but also has full alarm capabilities which protect the perimeter of the vehicle and will set off an alarm if the vehicle is opened, moved, tilted or experiences impact.
All three of the above can be coupled to the additional COMPASS GPS for full GPS Tracking and instant alerting capabilities.
I've heard people mention the Ghost 2, what is that, and how is it different?
The AutoWatch Ghost / Ghost II / Ghost 2 are the same devices as as the IGLA 200 and 231. The Author IGLA units are rebranded by Autowatch who label them and sell them as GHOST branded units.
The BIG difference is the firmware AND the installation methods.
Author create the IGLA firmware and therefore the IGLA branded devices will always have the most up-to date firmware installed, and the latest features available, And, you - the customer can be assured that the the installation will be carried out by our fully trained installers, who are carefully selected by IGLA Australia.
Is it true you can fit IGLA to a VE commodore even though it doesn't have a start/stop button?
Yes! We can fit the IGLA immobilisers to VE commodores even though they are a key start vehicle without a start/stop button. In fact, our team are the ones who did all the development work to make IGLA support the Holden VE models for you.
What happens when IGLA add new features into the firmware?
All IGLA Australia customers are able to to get their IGLA firmware updated to the latest versions FREE of charge, when new major firmware updates are released. All you need to do is arrange an appointment with your installer to get the device updated.
