“Everyone saying just get insurance and replace the vehicle, But - we had our car stolen in broad daylight after they watched my wife and 2 year old exit it and head into the supermarket leaving them stranded.
It's the most horrible violating feeling!
We couldn't get a courtesy car as they didn't provide them for theft, only accidents! so she couldn't get to work easily, car had stuff in the boot that wouldn't be covered and we lost money on the car even after being paid out then had to mess about trying to find a good enough replacement car fast...
It's a right inconvenience, costly and troubling ordeal to go through.”

So far, it seems to be working well. I've been able to get rid of the OBD port lock (the port is disabled unless the immobilizer is deactivated) and the steering wheel club.
I will say it has been a learning curve remembering to put the PIN in every startup, but there's also a key-fob and phone app I might try down the line.
